Your Impact
When you support Nurse-Family Partnership, you ensure that our mission is carried out in the following key areas:
Support for first-time parents
You help support and empower first-time parents to transform their lives and create better futures for themselves and their babies.
Each year, hundreds of thousands of babies are born to under-resourced, first-time parents facing serious challenges. Nurse-Family Partnership provides specially trained nurses to help them be the best parents they can be!
With over 40 years of measureable evidence, the long-lasting difference in the lives of these parents and their children are made possible thanks to investments and support from partners like you.
Watch how better worlds start with great parents.
Partnerships between nurse and FAMILY
Your support creates partnerships with specially educated nurses that regularly visit young, first-time parents-to-be, starting early in the pregnancy and continuing through the child’s second birthday.
Personal nurses in the Nurse-Family Partnership program form trusting relationships with young people facing the most adversity, to help ease them through the emotional, social and physical challenges of becoming parents.
From the moment NFP nurses meet a first-time parent, a remarkable transformation begins. With advice and guidance, young moms and other birthing people are empowered to have healthy pregnancies and to care for their babies with confidence.
Hear stories from a few NFP nurses about the proven results made possible in partnership with first-time families.
Holistic care for families and children
You’re helping to create a more holistic continuum of care for families and children experiencing the effects of poverty and adversity, thanks to your support.
With an unwavering commitment to serve more families with comprehensive services and to meet their unique needs, two of the leading evidence-based home visiting models, Nurse-Family Partnership and Child First, have united.
Child First is an innovative, home-based, early childhood intervention model, that approaches each child holistically, fostering a system of care that works to decrease the incidence of serious emotional disturbance, developmental and learning problems, and abuse and neglect among the most under-resourced young children and families.
